The collective hearts of the KC cycling community are heavy with the passing of Stu Bintner as a result of a bike crash near De Soto Saturday. I first met Stu back in my early days cycling. He was a friend and great riding companion. Comments posted on social media show that I am not alone in this opinion of Stu. He made an huge impact on cycling in the area and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have known him. RIP
The forecast is calling for ~7mph winds from the South making for a moderate tailwind up and a cooling headwind back. You are probably aware of the hills along the way - a few good climbs but the very beautiful ride makes it all worth while.
