I am canceling the ride to Excelsior Springs. I hate to do this but the Wednesday forecast looks too wet for the ride.
As I look out my window (6:30 am Wednesday) I see blue skies to the east but the Weather Channel predicts rain in the area with chances will above 50% in KC and even higher and for a longer period as you travel to the northeast toward Excelsior Springs. I will try to schedule this ride again soon.
The Thursday and Saturday rides below are still on as of now.
The Thursday forecast is questionable, Saturday looks good.
If it is going to rain - bring it on!
CANCELED, WEDNESDAY July 18th

SATURDAY, July 21st, 2018 RIDE - 8:30 AM Start
On SATURDAY, July 21st, I will lead another of the (appoximately) monthly rides to Kate's Kitchen from Knuckleheads. The idea here is to ride to brunch from Knuckleheads leaving at 8:30AM for Kate's Kitchen at 80th and North Oak. Kate's has been great about seating our group promptly upon arrival, serving us quickly and presenting us with a selection of great items from their menu.
This modified route is about 12 miles to Kate's while the return to Knuckleheads is approximately 20 miles of mostly downhill and flat, a good half of which is on a beautiful trail. There may or may not be a stop in NKC for a cold one on the way back to Knuckleheads.
