For the next couple Wednesdays I will be unable to lead the Thursday Morning Northland Bike Ride.  As when this has been the case recently Bob Papreck has offered to lead this ride in my stead.  Bob's rides are likely to be a little longer and perhaps a little speedier (without me there to be the anchor).

I look forward to returning in June so see you then and in the mean time - HAPPY BIKING!

THURSDAY, May 9th - Embassy Suites to the West Bottoms - 9:00 AM Start

Dig some of that cold weather gear back out.  Tomorrow's ride will start in the mid 40s with winds in the mid teens from the NNW.  I had considered heading north to Smithville but I have changed that to a ride to the Lunch Box in the West Bottoms following this route.  This maps at 18.5 miles there and 19 miles back for 37.5 miles total.  What do you say?

You might notice I am going to try to hop on the trail from 56th near I-29 down to the Line Creek Trail.  If this is not possible we can go around Houston Lake to get to the Fairfax Bridge.  I also have us crossing the Central Viaduct from KCK to the West Bottoms.

Kind of Brrr but better than January or February.
