I'm thinking it will be more comfortable to do a lunch ride to Roxanne's in Platte City. I will map later but I'm thinking somewhere around 30 miles.

The route is 17.5 miles to Platte City and 13.3 miles back for 30.8 miles total.
Light winds and sunshine should make the 10:30 start work in spite of near freezing start temps.
