THURSDAY, February 10 - Embassy Suites to Parkville - 10 AM Start AND FRIDAY, Feb 11 - City Market to Price Rite Market - 10 AM Start

It's time to come out of hibernation.  I notice our last ride was about a month ago.  In the mean time I've been able to get in about 400 miles but Thursdays have not been great.  I probably missed one rideable Thursday but the forecast I had read was borderline.

This week I am planning a 26+ mile total route to Parkville for lunch at Franks leaving at 10 AM.  The route is about 14 miles there and 12 miles back.  With the 10 AM start you might be able to get in more miles before the start.  Temps don't look bad an hour earlier.

I hope some of you can make this ride.  It will be nice to see your faces again.  Here is the route along with the forecast as always:

BTW - The Friday ride I am considering is from the River Market area to the Price Rite place on Waukomis Drive for their most excellent meatball sandwich (or anything else you might want).  I'm still working on a route and a weather forecast.  Temperatures look good but it will be windy.  I would modify my route accordingly.  Stay tuned.

UPDATE FOR FRIDAY'S RIDE FEB 11, 2022:

After some consideration I have settled on this route.  The forecast is showing a moderate building to strong wind from the NNW.  Once we cross the river our northern path will be sheltered by the Line Creek Trail.  On this segment I have eliminated all significant climbs from previous route considerations.  On the return to the start the wind will generally assist particularly on the one long climb (not that long, 200 pedal strokes).

I'm doing what I can to minimize the effects of that wind.
