Thursday, November 10: Embassy Suites to Platte City

Thursday, Nov. 10th we will ride to Platte City leaving Embassy Suites at 8:00 AM for breakfast at the Country Cookin' Cafe. The last forecast I saw had a morning low in the mid 30s with a high for the day in the low to mid 50s. It could be a cool ride but sunshine is in the forecast, too.

The route I have in planned stays away from HH so it's not as hilly as some Platte City runs. We still plan to climb up 4th Street after breakfast to get out of Platte City.

    We had 7 riders who braved the cold start. The apres breakfast segment was very comfortable and the start wasn't that bad. Riding were Allen J., Rachel H., Bill A., Mike M., Joe and Mary G. and me. I'll make an announcement here about next week's ride. It will probably be a show-and-go to Dearborn on Thursday. I won't be able to make this one. I'm curious to know if there would be interest in a Wednesday ride the day before Thanksgiving.
